Mayor Johnson gives recognition to employees, and former employees for their years of service…
At the February 8th City Council meeting, Mayor Johnson recognized city employees (and former councilmembers) who have given more than 10 years of service to the City of Eutaw. We are very appreciative of everyone who works to make #TeamEutaw a success!
Ms. Shelia Hann Smith
Ms. Smith served as a city councilwoman for 16 years. She continues to serve the Eutaw and Greene County Community with community service through the TS Police Support League.
Mr. Larry Sanford
Mr. Sanford, continues to serve the City of Eutaw, as the public works director. Mr. Larry, has served more than 40 years with the City and has retired and returned several times when called for assistance. We are very thankful for his knowledge and experience.
Ms. Wilma Wedgeworth
Ms. Wedgeworth, continues to serve the City of Eutaw as our custodian. Ms. Wilma, has served the City of Eutaw for over 40 years. She keeps city hall spotless, and goes out of her way to bring a smile to everyone’s face each day. Ms. Wilma also handles various administrative tasks, such as post office trips, and even answering the phone when necessary. We are happy to see her smiling face every day.
Mr. Bennie Abrams
Mr. Abrams, continues to serve the City of Eutaw as Chief of our Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Benny, has served the City of Eutaw for over 40 years and 4 years as a city councilman. He is a wonderful man, who gives his time to the city whenever called. We are fortunate to have such a caring person on our team.
Mr. Joe Powell
Mr. Powell, continues to serve the City of Eutaw as assistant city clerk, he has served the City of Eutaw as a councilman for 16 years. He works very hard to ensure we are all on task, and updated on administrative requirements. Mr. Powell brings years of experience as an educator, and community leader and helps to ensure #TeamEutaw runs smoothly behind the scenes.
Mr. Douglas Smith
Mr. Smith, continues to serve the City of Eutaw in our water department. Mr. Doug has served the City of Eutaw for over 20 years. He has held various positions in the public works and water department, and we are happy to have him still part of the team.
Ms. Linda Spencer
Ms. Linda, continues to serve the City of Eutaw in our municipal court, as our Court Clerk. Ms. Linda has served the City of Eutaw for over 20 years. She has held various administrative positions with the city, and with the police department. We are very fortunate to have Ms. Linda, with her years of knowledge in experience to ensure our municipal court operates efficiently.
Mr. Marcus Burton
Mr. Burton, continues to serve the City of Eutaw in our water department, as our distribution supervisor. Mr. Marcus has served the City of Eutaw for over 10 years. Marcus is always available after hours or for service calls and works tirelessly to ensure everyone has quality water service. We are fortunate to have him and his dedication.
