New Mowers and Equipment
Working with Sunsouth in Demopolis under a Sourcewell awarded contract we have been able to secure new mowers and a tractor for the street and water department!
Mayor Johnson has made it a priority to keep the streets in Eutaw clean! “We have to give the guys the right tools to do the job” Mayor Johnson and the Street Department are working every day to make improvements in Eutaw!
Water Tank Inspection and Cleanouts
In a recent public bid request, Southern Corrosion was selected to do the inspections and repairs on the City of Eutaw’s Water Tanks.
Previously, the City’s water tanks were maintained under a maintenance contract, which was overpriced and did not cover all of the water tanks in the system. After hiring a full-time water operator, and after review of water department expenditures this previous contract has been cancelled. With advice from Mr. Ralph Liverman, and Corey Martin the City of Eutaw had created a maintenance reserve account so that the city can pay for its own maintenance at a significant cost savings to the city.
