The City of Eutaw Water Department has completed scheduled maintenance and repairs of the Armory Tank. Scheduled maintenance included exterior inspection and painting of the water tank. Interior repairs included replacing the control valves.
The Armory tank is the largest water tank, by volume, at 500,000 gallons. Prior to the scheduled repairs, the tank would not fill to capacity, leaving half of the tank empty. The tank, not filling to capacity, was not allowing the hydraulics of the water system to operate as designed.
The repairs, and scheduled maintenance from this project, were paid for by using reserve funds and did not require additional loan or grant funding.
