Mayor Johnson presided over the second virtual council meeting, this time with the help of the newly completed media system at city hall. Councilwoman Stewart, and Councilwoman hunter appeared virtually, with City Attorney Zane Willingham. City employees, with the assistance of Boligee Electrical, were able to put together a very nice meeting system for a reasonable price. Corey Martin, designed the system with the assistance of Joe Powell and ShaKelvia Spencer. Public works employees worked tirelessly with making the mess of cables look more presentable. This new technology, partially paid for with COVID funds, will allow city staff, council, and citizens better access to city hall and meetings. This will also allow for presentations and virtual attendance by guests.
