City of Eutaw Water Department completes water system upgrades.

The City of Eutaw Water Department started a major overhaul of the water system last May, with the first round of ARP Funding. Certified Operator, Corey Martin said, “We have spent around $100,000 to upgrade our wells, to ensure that they are going to last, at least another 10 years”. This was the first major system upgrade, to include all wells, in many years. Additionally, cellular telemetry, which will replace the older, and less reliable in-ground wire-line system, will provide a savings of over $60,000 per year in reduced costs.

Before and after photos are attached, and the Council Meeting Slide Show provides more narrative to the upgrades and improvements. More information will be presented at the Council Meeting scheduled for February 22nd, 2022!
